- Travel happen on the hours, every hour. Travel time is based on engine speed, and distance.
- Remaining travel time (hours) is given from the next hour change. E.g. It's currently 09:34, and you've 2 hours left. This means you will dock at 11:00.
- Departures from planets also occur at the next hour change.
- Travel to other star systems is either via Star Gates, or normal space travel.
- Star Gates can only be used by ships with SG type engines.
- Ships with an SG type engine will automatically use the nearest Star Gate to travel to a different star system. No extra effort is required on the part of the player.
- Travel within a star system with an SG type engine is the same as a non-SG type engine.
